I had a hard time trying to get something that I could use with my 2nd graders. We do talk about community and where we live. We talk about Michigan and some of the more important things that they may have heard about or visited in Michigan. Click here to check it out.

Great job! I realize that you may not work with maps a lot in early elementary. I think that exposing them to Google Maps when zeroing in on community is a great idea. Realizing that our community is within a city and that city is within a county, etc. is important.
